Example 1 (Force applied to a particle on a rough horizontal plane)
A particle of mass 4 kg is at rest on a horizontal plane. A horizontal force of 5N is applied to the particle. There is a resistance of 3N due to the surface being rough.
Find the acceleration of the particle and the speed of the particle after 2 seconds.
