Stuart SiddersSeptember 13, 2016 at 7:52 pmThank you.

AfhmDecember 10, 2016 at 6:45 pmCould you please define some of the exam language that they use e.g. k has equal roots, or k is a non constant because i don’t understand what they mean.

I appreciate all of your help, thank you!!1

Stuart the ExamSolutions GuyDecember 10, 2016 at 8:18 pmI k has equal roots that means that the discriminant should = 0 ie. b^2 – 4ac = 0. If k is a non zero constant then this means that k will not equal 0. Have you looked at the tutorials on this? http://www.examsolutions.net/tutorials/roots-and-discriminant-of-a-quadratic-equation/?level=Pure&module=core&topic=1193
