Inequalities
Before you start to solve linear inequalities, it is essential that you learn some of the basic rules of when to reverse the inequality sign. This short tutorial will guide you through this by way of some examples.
In this tutorial you are given two linear inequalities to solve. In the second example you will be shown several different ways to tackle the problem where care must be taken to remember to reverse the inequality sign.
Examples in the video
Solve the following:
- 2x – 7 > 5
- 26 > 5 – 3x
Quadratic inequalities are tackled in a different way to solving a quadratic equation. Two examples are shown in the video which will hopefully show you how to handle these types.
In this tutorial, we learn how to graph inequalities.
