Chain rule: Polynomial to a rational power

In this tutorial I introduce the chain rule as a method of differentiating composite functions starting with polynomials raised to a power by doing the following examples.

Examples in the video

Find \dfrac{dy}{dx} for the following:

  1. y = (5{x^3} - x + 1)^3
  2. y = 5\sqrt {3x^2 + 4}
  3. y = \dfrac{3}{2x - 1}
  4. y = \dfrac{4}{\sqrt[3] {x^2 - 3}}
