I now work the other way round and show you how to convert equations of Cartesian curves to polar form. To do this you need to be familiar with many trig. identities.

Convert the following into polar form:

  1. {y^2} = 8x
  2. {x^2} = {y^2} + 2
  3. y + \sqrt 3 x = 6
