The product rule

The product rule is used to differentiate products of two functions that cannot be expanded easily.
It is an important rule that is used extensively in calculus. In the tutorial I show you what it is and how to use it.

Product Rule:

  • \text{If }y = uv \\ \\ \text{then } \dfrac{dy}{dx} = u \dfrac{dv}{dx} + v \dfrac{du}{dx}
